A girl sits alone tonight
reading prayers under the moons bright light
there is a great sadness building inside her
and under that, building fear.
he is determined to mask the pain
and lets nobody in
there is no more love in her heart
for somebody had tore it apart.
She had once had many dreams
but now all hope is gone
all the hurt is growing inside her
and years worth of unshed tears
begin to slide down her face.
as she closes her eyes
everything just slips away
and she is flying higher into the sky
farther and farther
where she will find that special place
and her pain will finally cease.
