We used to whisper secrets
and tell each other everything.
all the problems I ever have
you'd sense it, and ask
and all of it would pour out my heart.

We had difference then
but still...
we thought we'd be the best of friends
till the end
bu as we grow older
everything seems to change.

Our friendship is dwindling
and I try so hard to close the gap
but the space seems to be growing
and my heart stops cold,
at every thought of that.

We've made new friends this year
but there is still an emptiness
of you not being here.
It is hard to see you having fun
when I'm not even there.

We pass each other in the hall
and even though I smile I smile
I try to hold back the tears.

even though we lost something special
I will have no regrets
because I know
everything we've been through
was meant for a certain reason, too.

There I sit looking back on all the fun times
we had together
a wide smile spreads across my face
because,
although I had lost a cherished friend
