Your Merciful Arms

by Sorefromreality   Sep 18, 2007

I lie nude under my blankets at night
In my bed, with only thoughts of you
Wishing you were here, to come wrap me up
To shelter my body, and kiss away the fear

I'll cry tonight, this I know for certain
Cry tears of happiness, of love, of joy
I've never had someone like you
No one ever did the remarkable things you do

I pray to God everyday, that
it will last forever
Pray you'll never go away, leave
me, like the others

I know I love you, as I lie here now,
My thoughts filled, swirling, with you
Your tender kiss, a warm embrace

I feel more alive, more awake somehow
Like I don't have to surrender, give in
Your arms are merciful on my sinful self,
You've given me something to believe in.
