A Wandering Mind

by Brooke   Sep 19, 2007

Shifty eyes and shaking hands
Once and for all, ridding himself of these lands
One foot off the edge, and then another
Last thoughts going through his head
I never thought I'd end this like my brother

Another dream that was never real
Letting himself sink into a dark hole where he can't even feel
Deafening screams of all the lost souls
Trying to get out of their living quarters
A box with no holes

Walking amongst a sea of inquisitive eyes
His whole life had been turned into lies
Leaving his old life behind
Finally realizing that he was just a drone
He found his way out of the coffin he lived inside
But only by breaking every bone

Laying wide awake in a hospital bed
Only concerned with all of his dread
The whole world came crashing down on his head
And he never even ducked
And now because he ever stepped off that cliff
He is fu*cked
