His Breath to Forfeit [Licentia Rhyme Form]

by Twisted Heart   Sep 19, 2007

Sweet death, gentle death, has breached her very soul
Hung lifeless tears on her breath and left her cold
The stars, he see's them crying tears of sorrow
A lonely moon hangs low until the 'morrow.
So young, so full of life she seemed to glisten
Upon her words he'd stop and take a listen
Her heart so giving, his love she stole each day
A whisper to his ear, never goes away
It crushes in his mind and tears him apart
Just empty broke pieces of his shattered heart
Sweet death, gentle death, has breached her very soul
Hung lifeless tears on her breath and left her cold.

The stars, he sees them crying tears of sorrow
A lonely moon hangs low until the 'morrow
Dark shadows creep inside his soul and tarry
Within the depth of heartache that he carries.
A hunger for her touch, he prays tonight
That she will feel his yearning and make it right
But though he knows that her touch will never come
It doesn't cease the dreaming that leaves him numb
For when his eyes grow weary her soul he'll see
Wrapped in her tender love is where he will be
Sweet death, gentle death, has breached her very soul
Hung lifeless tears on her breath and left her cold.

So young, so full of life, she seemed to glisten
Upon her words, he'd stop and take a listen
Enchanting words that warm him like sunny days
They hang in his mind and with his heart they play
He can almost feel her touch among his thoughts
Comes quick inside his mind and then it is lost
Deep pain he wrestles, as it tears from within
Breath he'd gladly forfeit, to see her again
To hold her in his arms, feel her warm caress
He'd take his final breath, then he'd gladly rest
Sweet death, gentle death, has breached her very soul
Hung lifeless tears on her soul and left her cold.
