MY PORTRAIT

by Kaz   Sep 19, 2007

I brought a canvas to paint something new,
I have my colors ready, to paint a new me,
defining this piece with flavors of life,
every inch, every color sinking deep within,
no corner left blank, not a single thread denying color,

A new me I paint,
something new I reveal to the world outside,
too many colors to choose,
each with a flavor,

tending to be selfish, when I have all I need,
still many to choose, nothing to leave,
colors I have are more than my greed,

I add the last with my colorful brush,
giving a glance for my finishing touch,
I leave it under the open sky,
for the world to see, and let it dry,

sun drying my portrait, giving it texture,
designing my life with a whole new gesture,
I have my portrait for all to see,
a whole new pleasure, a reason to be,
I've made my portrait ,reflection of me
