My Perdition

by Syrus   Sep 19, 2007

I am weak now
A broken heart bestowed upon me
Having let out all emotions inside
And told you all I can
I've grow tired and weary
I fall to my knees and gaze across the horizon
Complete exhaustion consumes me

As day turns to night
Cloudy skies are brought above
They start to cluster over me
A light breeze starts to pick up
I'm left with no refuge from the onslaught that beckons forth
Rain drops start to come down ever so gently
An undesirable sting is felt

As my body slumps to the ground,
I almost find a place of peace here
The smell of grass and cold air fills my lungs
As the rain becomes weighted and violent
I lay shrouded in disbelief

I lay virtually helpless in my feeble state
My eyes start to water as the rain continues to pour
A gut wrenching emotion arises
Looking at my hand I see your face
Laughing and smiling at me
I think of better times once lived

I grow scared now,
Afraid of the darkness thats taking hold
A spellbinding voice echoes
And leaves my mind in wretchedness
Confused and full of sorrow
I see only a feeling of hatred
A numbing sensation fills my face
Breathing becomes too hard to control
My eyes shut never wanting to open
As I lay in my wasteland of hope
I scream for you and only you

Seething pain cascades through my soul
Nightmarish hands take hold
Constricting with endless pain
I reach for you
My eyes tearful and sorry
As you fade away from sight
I lay tenuous and isolated, alone
This will be the slowest death I'll ever know...
