Thy Furtive Desire

by Avrii Monrielle   Sep 20, 2007

Oh, how I flee,
From the boundry of heartache,
Wishing to never,
Have my heart break.

Thou is but a pulpit,
Of character and joy.
Yet, on my side's no pedestal,
Only zeal of love's ploy.

I wish only that,
Thou would look at me,
But I fear my one wish,
Could never be.

Great poem. I really enjoyed this. Not often you hear words like pulpit, thou and zeal in poems; adds to the effect. 5/5
