I'm proud to call you my country
You are the country that everyone escapes to
Because you are a free country
Whatever tribe you can think of
Is found in you
Because you are a freedom country

First you were a monster
Because you only appreciated one tribe
Not one tribe but one kind of racial group
And all other groups were seen as animals
You had no choice but to admit
You admitted because you are not a living being
And you could not speak out
And you were controlled by the leaders of that time

Now you are a born again country
You accommodate everyone and everybody
Every race, culture, tradition and religion
It is because of the democracy that you got
Democracy brought by the leaders of today

I wouldn't be ashamed to say I'm from you
That I'm from you South Africa
South Africa home for all

Even though you have many problems
I know you will solve them soon
But what I like about you is that
Everybody is welcomed to you

We are privileged to learn different cultures and beliefs
And that is because of you South Africa
You are so beautiful and I love you
I love you for what you have done
Giving freedom to all the people
