Mother

Unpredictable.
Never quite sure which side you will see.
Will she be joyous? Crying hysterically?
Always up for a fight, she seeks out her prey,
confronting anyone that might step in her way.
She willl fight over nothing, melodramatic, indeed.
Avoid confrontation! Calm down, I then plead.
Unexplainable.
Constant shifts in emotion, though I am always to blame,
No wonder he left her, and took back his name.
Does she not see the future, if she keeps up her ways?
I yearn to get out, I am counting the days.
Unforgivable.
She has caused scars that will not heal, time cannot erase,
Though she is my mother and I cannot replace.
My father has left, my sister did too,
Her family seems to have dwindled to two.
If she keeps up this pace, I will never forgive,
Her time in my life will sure be short lived.
