The Cross

A large white cross in the median is what I see,
Who was it, what happened to thee.

Who was that poor person that lost their life?
Who put the cross there, was it someones husband or wife?

The love that has vanished must hurt them so much
They want to keep their memory alive from being so lost

I feel so sad as I drive by.
Hopefully that isn't me and how I will die.
