I owe you...

by ECILA ice   Sep 21, 2007

A pale ghost that's what I am;
Straying somewhere at the dead valley
Searching for a life
My life that's nowhere to be found.

It felt like I'm so invisible
Dead to some people's eyes,
Never even felt my beingness
Oh Father, am I really alive?

But not to you,
You were always there for me;
I don't know if I could even endure these,
breathe another air without you here..
And so I owe you my existence

A zombie, I consider myself as one;
Being puppeted by this silly life
Mundane, I function as a normal man
Just to say I'm living.

But no one even knows
That I'm running out of reason to live
This agony I can no longer bear...
Forgive me but this life is bleeding me dry

But not anymore,
You're the reason of my survival;
I don't know if I could even endure these,
Breathe another air without you here
And so I owe you my existence.

**the longest poem i ever wrote (i guess) just wanna dedicate it to my all of my good friends who never leave me..

    Nice and heartfelt...an engrossing read that I connected to on some many levels. the flow was perfect and the format of the whole poem was just plain neat. My only suggestion....and you need not take it if you would rather not..it to make breathe another air...to breathe another breath as it makes much more sense...5/5 marvelous write

    Ahh, this is like so different then I would see Friendship poem as, so that was a new experience for me. The under tone was so sad, but in the end got a little happier.
    Amazing poem.
