Memories To Cherish

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Sep 21, 2007

Thinking about the night as I'm
Slowly sinking to the floor
Tears pouring down my face
With my back against the door

The red of my dress
Flows all around me
The curls cascade over my face
As I can no longer see

I couldn't believe the night
Was over all to fast
I will remember the memories
Of the amazing past

Taking me in your arms
Dancing during every slow song
Laughing at anything that happened
Wishing the night could only last long

As I sit and think things through
I find it so hard too believe
That you and I aren't together
Of a relationship you can't seem to conceive

You've made it so hard to sleep
As I can only think about you
The memories I gained at prom
And somehow you don't have a clue

The clock ticks on
Time wont stop for me
As I dry my tears
Again I'm able to see

We may never be together
You have a girl of your own
Trying to accept what I cant
And realizing you're where I feel at home

This is a nicely penned piece. Personal, decent fluidity, good story told. There are a few grammatical errors, such as:

"The curls cascade over me face"
    (me needs to be my)

    "Was over all to fast"
    (to needs to be too)

"And realizing your where I feel at home"
    (your needs to be you're)

[: Well sussed out, overall a good read.
    Keep it up!

    Take Care,
    Smiles,
