Even More

by Indian Comma Bean   Sep 22, 2007

We gaze upon the stars,
each moon of the planets.
Thousands have seen faith,
in each gleaming pin of light.

But right down here
right on earth,
it's just you and I,
and all we see is happiness.

But I cannot tell you
that grief is not in your future,
for who has that power?
Who might dare come forward.

For not only shall your
strength be shown,
but virtue has set a path
know only to your destiny.

Let thy seed of life
be buried in the sands of time,
and the water the ages
shall set its course.

-And once this seed
has grown into greatness,
only then shall the fruit
by ripe and full of wisdom.

But if one's greed and lust
take hold of their morals,
Thy fruit shall taste of none
other then anguish and despair.

So hand in hand,
we walk our separate path,
where our road goes down
to the sun's death.

And maybe, just maybe,
shall we see just a glimpse,
that our future holds not only
love, happiness and peace,

But even more...
