Always and Forever

by Indian Comma Bean   Sep 22, 2007

Always and forever
it has been as we remember,
same stars out in the sky,
the same cars going down the block.

Stop signs still bent and crooked,
Street lights that blink and flicker,
but who's to say that they are flawed,
because to us they are perfect.

Same faces in and out of the day,
but every day they seem so new,
everyday a different smile
always just for you.

Dust collects on the window sill,
I find myself staring right out,
but my mind doesn't see the emptiness,
it doesn't see the trees or birds.

A little originality a little something new,
some one who brought new friendships,
when we hear those traits,
We only think of you.

But you haven't left us,
And we hope you never will,
You'll always be in our hearts,
because we could never let you leave.

Always and forever
it has been as we remember,
the same stars out in the sky,
but one less car going down the block.
