Outcast

It all seemed so perfect,
the love seemed so defined,
he was all you ever wanted,
it was all you could wish for.

The weeks and months went by,
when you think of
it you start to cry,
but hold your chin up.

Life always stood there,
told you to pull your ticket,
never told you the wait was long,
never told you the pain stayed on.

Everyone told you it would be ok,
you said your thank yous,
you put on your smile,
all oblivious to what was going on.

Inside your heart was weeping,
your mind told you to
pick yourself up,
and you get the feeling,

that you're not alone...

The memories come
flooding back in the place
you never thought they'd venture,
all of the happiness, all of the hardship.

But you can't let it get you down,
because everyone has their someone,
everyone has their destiny unfold,
but it's the future we look forward to.

For who knows what life's blossom might unfold?
