When You Come Home

by kira2   Sep 22, 2007

When you come home from being gone
I promise to let you know how I've longed
To hold you, to hug you, to give you a kiss
To let you know how much you were missed.

I'll have dinner, a candle and music too
All of your favorites, just waiting for you.

Then off to bed, I'll rub your feet
I'll touch you tenderly and kiss you sweet.

I'll let you know that I longed for you
And I'll be glad you're home for a day or two.

I'll give to you and take nothing but love
I will let you know that you are my beloved

When you come home from a long week
You won't have to guess what it is that I seek
Your touch, your body, your arms holding tight
Your smell, your love and cuddling all night

When you come home
You will know you were missed
When you come home
You will feel it in my kiss

Hurry back to me my love

It is very honest and I like the idea of this poem but you have some mistakes in it. You expressed emotions nicely but you can do that even better with some metaphors and deeper descriptions. It is interesting but it also could be better with stronger atmosphere.
