Never Once

by Indian Comma Bean   Sep 22, 2007

Leaves brush upon the bark,
as the blue jays sing in melody,
the clouds are tumbling softly,
and the sun is softly gleaming.

A boy and a girl slowly strolling,
he reaches out to hold her hand,
as the the horizon soon beholds to them
a calming glowing notion.

The view was like an ecstasy,
so beautiful is was a site to see,
a smile slowly came to be,
and she gently whispered-

Be next to me...

He held her gently,
He admired her silently,
for the moment was so perfect,
the words were so unspeakable.

He told her all the secrets,
he told her all his troubles,
he told her all the misery that
had gone since that he had met her.

She began to laugh
and shook her head
not uttering one single word,
she slung her arms around his neck,

-And she told him...

You're the finest man I've ever met...

To this day the wind is told,
all that the world has ever known,
it has heard all to ever be heard,
and whispers to the people no more...

The roses that line the path,
have been picked so many times,
but never once was one yet wasted,
for they all had a loving past...

In the rain they walked away,
and never did they say a word,
cause their eyes had met
and nothing need be said.

So down the trail two lovers walked,
hand in hand they smiled,
soul in soul they talked,
and never once...

-And never once,

Did they ever need to say I love you...
