The Perfect Stranger [Seven Deadly Sins]

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Sep 22, 2007

His eyes shined as he sat down on the stool next to me,
And we shared a few drinks until a quarter past three,
He had nowhere else to be, so we told one or two lies;
And the look in my eyes gave him much needed compromise.

The bar was getting dead, my harlequin was running high;
And as he grabbed me, I couldn`t help but to pathetically lie;
I told him I wasn`t seeing anyone [at least just for last night] --
Thriving on lust, I lost myself in dirty motel sheets, holding him tight.

Dying in a strangers arms is something I always wanted to try,
And the feel of his breath on my neck was amazing, I can`t deny;
Shuttering from his touch, I let loose and had some fun;
Last night was for me, this morning is when I will come undone.

Sneaking in the door at the break of dawn, the floor creaks softly;
And I break apart as I see the girl that he uses to replace me,
Call me a coward, but I`ve got to have it all, including his selfish ways;
So I`ll pretend that I don`t need him anymore, at least for today.

Bragging about my night, I`ll tell it straight to his spiteful face;
And I`ll hold myself together with poise as our teen hearts race,
With a fist of steel, he marks the bruises around my eyes --
As petty crocodile tears streak down my foundation disguise.

His wall of pride got in the way when I begged him to stop,
The trip of power he felt was sending him way up to the top,
And in his skin, he felt like he was above anyone else around;
So he smiled as he kicked me onto the shattering ground.

The lightning in my eyes matched the fury in his broken heart,
And if it were up to me, I would grow a spine and tear him apart;
But this fake ID will give me the credibility I tell myself I need,
And the perfect stranger from a dirty bar will help me to succeed.

"Such a beautiful young girl with a heart so young and carefree,
She`ll grow up to be whatever it is in this world that she wants to be" ,
That may be so, but the drug scene has gotten the best of me;
My abilities have all went to hell, I lost them in the gutters of the city.
