To My Mother

by RobinAnn13   Sep 22, 2007

My mother taught me lots of things
She taught me how to speak
She taught me how to hate
And she taught me to be weak

She taught me how to fear
She taught me how to cry
She taught me how to fall
And she taught me how to lie

She taught me how to bleed
And she taught me how to scream
She taught me how to hurt
And she taught me to be mean

Well guess what mom
He taught me something too
He taught me not to ever
Really listen to you

He taught me how to love
And he taught me how to care
He taught me how to smile
And he taught me how to share

So now I'll try to keep him
Always in my sight
We'll stay together
And he'll teach me what is right

***this poem was written by me to put into a fan-fiction for akito and shigure sohma from fruits basket. I just wanted to see if anyone would like it as an individual poem.

This was an incredible poem, the rhyming was great, the flow was smoothe. The repition was really great for this poem ,i could feel the emotion coursing through it, it was a beau penned poem. another well deserved 5/5

I don't know the story, but I can relate to this poem very much, it is very sentimental and sweetly written. You did a great job, another 5/5 from me!!!
