A Clown Cries

by samantha   Sep 22, 2007

Have you ever seen a clown cry?
Or heard a tigers lullaby?

Drops heavy as lead,
Powders and blush dying them red

Heavily he drops his head
Wishing he were already dead

Sobs shake and rack his body
As acrobats twirl around

The audience watches, looking down
Joyous and terrified and why not?
The circus has come to town

Lights flash and blink and slash
Making him feel alone

Why, where, he doesnt know what is home
Making him feel alone

She tried to run, but he had a gun
And bang, bang, she was gone

Oh what has he done?
Let the tears run

Dribbling down his cheek
The future is a haze, as hes trapped in this maze
Tears dribble down his cheek

He looks around, what has he left to lose?
Nothing, time to choose

He sees her face in the elephants lace
And he makes up his mind at once

He holds it up to his head
And bang, he falls to the floor
The clown shall breathe no more

Have you ever seen a clown cry?
Or heard a tigers lullaby?
As screams fill the air and people run for the door
