What is innocence
but a veil on an ignorant mind
it is the excuse for an unknown question
the excuse for lack of experience
so many seek to loose this veil over themselves
and when they do
so many wish they could be back under that veil of unknowing
that shroud of darkness
for they have seen the world in all its whorish glory
and cringe at the sight
they seek to go back to when the world was full of beauty
they wish to go back to when the world was a grandiose thing
full of adventure and joy
love and hope
they seek the comfort of knowing naught but what was infront of their feet
some believe that innocence is something to be taken away
others believe it is something to be reveered
worshipped and rejoiced in
these two perspectives come from ones own life experience
and ones own vision of the world
they come from what one has seen, heard and felt
whether it is a justice to save innocence of to destroy it
all depends on where you live
and what the world around you looks like
