Things.

I lay in pure silence with the dark surrounding me.
I try to close my eyes, I try to fall into a sound sleep.
The lightening touches down right outside of my window.
I remember just then, the things you had once told me.

Within it's fury, it has beauty.
Within the winds, it is only I.
The rain is there to sooth.
Close your eyes and feel me.

Sometimes hope feels so far away and so lost.
Holding on never felt so easy when it is your world.
Letting go could never be harder when it's your life.
The fear is real when I think of life without you in it.
