Fear turns

by Kari   Sep 23, 2007

Reach for the stars
and don't look back
She's grabbing the
blade
Don't cry baby.
Drawing the blade closer
to her skin
look to the sun
slowly it pierces,
penetrating the flesh
and see the stars

Don't ponder the past
digging the blade deeper
'till the pain is real
Don't bath in the sorrow
blood running down
the mutilated arm
because you afraid
of happiness
what is left, is a girl
Wanting pain, but only feeling
numb inside.

Fear will bring you down.
One more time she says,
Just to feel.
It will eat way at you
the blade now a
familiar friend,
ready for one last go.
Until there's nothing left.
This time though,
she's gone to far.
For now she feels,
she feels the pain.

Don't choice fear
sobs rack her body.
Don't close the door
Don't give in, Don't give up.
She's no longer sobbing
just convulsing.
She's trying
to stop
the bleeding.
Yet, unsuccessful
she remains.
Keep the door open
There's nothing left
now, though.
Just a crying girl,
her bleeding arm
and her scars
and you will heal.
