Alone in my dark tower

Sitting up in my dark tower
A single window to gaze from
Alone with my dreams
Waiting for my prince to come

Not a single soul to talk too
Never anyone to hold
The tower keeps me safe
But lets in all the cold

Wishes are blocked in by the walls
They never make it to the stars
Every days the same
Living behind so many bars

I can only imagine
What it's like out there
The pure earth beneath me
The gentle wind in my hair

If only I had wings
So I could fly far away
Leaving this life behind
No longer reliving the same day

It doesn't matter how hard I try
None of my dreams will come true
I'll be forever alone in my dark tower
