When angels die

by InterviewWithTheKat   Sep 23, 2007

When Angels Die.

When you look at the sky and its gloomy and dark,
You know an angel has died.

Gentle footsteps that once stroked the earth have left forever,
And even the world itself grieves.

My angel was pure and gentle, she left me alone and weeping,
How does love turn so quickly to sadness so often?

Angels have two legs or so it is said,
Would you question me then when I say my angel had four?

My angel showed me more love than a human is able,
For it is human to judge, but she did not.

So is this what its like when an angel dies?

People wander they're busy live smiling and laughing,
While my angel lies in a heap at my mothers feet.

These unknowing people, unknowing that as they play,
An unthinkable tragedy has just happened.

Unknowing that tomorrow they'll wake up,
And the sun will be a little less gold,
The sky a little less blue,
The stars a little less bright,
And the song the birds sing will be a sad one.

Sleep tight my angel.

Dedicated to my beautiful, brilliant, wonderful Kasey, who passed away on the 12/5/06. She may have just been a dog but I can't express how much she meant to me, and there are times I wouldn't have got through without her unconditional love. She is gone now and I'll have to make my own way in life. But until we meet again Kasey, I love you and miss you so much, and always will, as long as I live. Kathrine xxx

    My Gosh Kat!

This peice made me cry, it was so deep and full of emotions. It made me think of my dog, who has been gone for almost 2 year's now.
I love how you referred to your dog as your angel without fully coming out and saying it.

    A very sad write,
    5/5 Elly.

Well written piece with good flow and mounful feelings. The second line will be much better if you omit the first "and". Any ways the rhetorical questions really are indeed captivating.
