Chapter 18

by Rachael   Sep 23, 2007

Reading the same chapter
Of my life
Every time I turn the page
I see the same thing as before
Typed pages
Neat font
No mistakes
All the same
A pre-written book
Something written by someone else
Friends
Family
Now, I turn the page
And see white
Clean
Crisp
Fresh
Pages, where no marking has been shown
Are these mine?
The pen in my hand
Wants to write
Wants to control my life
A new chapter
Thats what Ill start
Writing my own story
In my own words
In my own handwriting
With crossed out words and mistakes,
My mistakes
With advice written in the margins
A new chapter
A new page
Everyday
