To My Daughter

Daughter of mine,
your eyes, so bright and full of life,
your smile so sweet, it takes my breath.
I hold you in my arms, as i rock you to sleep
I can't believe it, I'm looking at a piece of me.
A beautiful baby girl,
that I brought into this world,
Nothing will every separate us baby girl,
I would kill, before they could take you away.
Daughter of mine,
I love you more than life itself,
I brought you into this world,
Not knowing what a joy this truly felt.
