She was an angel

by Beauty In The Breaking   Sep 24, 2007

This is one that I wrote for a poetry contest =p Not one of my best but...laughs...I think it said what I wanted it to *I think* =P
*******She was an Angel******

She was an angel
sent down to earth,
the most beautiful creature created
this angel in human form.

Long silken hair made of purest gold,
alabaster skin so smooth,
gentle, passionate eyes of green,
an angel in every way.

She came to this earth to heal and save,
help the homeless and guide the lost,
give strength to the soldier fighting
and courage to the single mom
determined to make it alone.

This breathtaking creature, our angel
does her very best for us all
but sadly shes slowly passing away
as us mortals slowly lose sight
of whats most important in life.

You see, this angel is the angel of Love
and love has lost it's importance
in this world that we now live in,
the word love is used to little
and yet said way to much.

The only way to save this beauty
is for the people of the world to care,
to look around and help each other,
don't judge but accept and love.

I loved this stanza, it reminds me of what I heard someone say a long time ago: the dolpins are leaving this earth because their message of love we are unable to recieve. I cried when I heard this...so sad.

This poem is a 5/5 but should receive a 10!

    Best wishes for you, Rhea
