The heart, such a gentle thing,
and you would think they would know it
but they continue to pull my heart in two
as i struggle not to show it

the first, you see, is as in love with me
as i am with him
and is prepared to prove it to all
by fulfilling my every whim

the other loves me, i have no doubt
but he is awfully coy
he is so different, but you know what they say
girls like the opposite boy

i love them both, I'm sure of that
equally strong and deep
now i just have to decide
which to throw away and to keep
