Visits To Your Grave

by marilyn marti   Sep 24, 2007

I sit next to your grave
all I do is cry.
I wish that you were here
sitting by my side.

I watch the hours pass
the air feels so cold
All this sudden pain
only seems to grow

I hold your favorite shirt,
and clench it so tight.
Darkness is my only...
company tonight.

I feel my heart go numb.
when I hear your voice.
You're playing with my head..
and I don't have a choice.

I can see your ghost,
standing in one place.
I want to see you smile,
but I can't see your face.

All these memories..
are haunting all my thoughts
Your ghost now disappears,
once again you're gone.

Come back to me please..
tell me it's okay.
I hope to see you tomorrow,
when I come back to your grave.
