To you.. (alfie)

by Helene   Sep 24, 2007

You followed me home,
And sat by my side,
I cried at your shoulder,
You made me alright.
You made me believe,
In all I could do,
What I could achieve,
When I knew I had you.

You was so tired,
Weakened by day,
And you said I woke you
When I came your way.
But really the opposite,
Figuring out,
What loving somebody was truly about.

Strolling along,
Alone in the streets,
So young and so restless,
So incomplete.
Never quite certain of
Where you were going,
Always in agony but,
Never quite knowing.
Mindlessly driven by
And urge to breath free,
Caught in the solitude;
Lonely like me.

You took my hand and
You showed me the night,
Holding me tighter till I was alright.
So much alike,
So dead and alive,
Friendships like ours
Is why I survive.
And Alfie remember,
My promise to thee,
Whenever you're down then
You'll always have me...

*the end*

This poem is dedicated to a friend of mine who has become very special to me: Alfie/Arun Kahn/prince of darkness - dear child, soooo many names ;P
