Dark One

by Stephanie   Sep 25, 2007

Running through the Evil Forest
Must get away
If the Dark One finds me
I shall surely die

I refuse your entrance into me
Dark One you can not control me!
I am no longer your slave

You hide in the shadow
of this forest in which I run
You attack when the mind is weak
You tear into the soul

I can feel my body strengthen
Closer and closer I am to good magic
Almost to the light
Thick trees seem to open up
I pass more and more clearings
Black forest trees slowly turn to green
I will finally escape you

If I can get to the good fairies
I will be OK
They are out of the Evil Forest
If I can get to the White Stone Stream
They live behind the Silver Falls

I'm almost out of the Evil Forest
NO!
The Dark One wraps around me
Taking me back
Every near escape the Dark One finds me
Every time I'm almost out
I'm pulled back in

The Dark One always wins
No matter how hard I fight
I am back in the middle of the Evil Forest
The Dark One hovers over me
Slave of the Dark One once again

Tears run down my face as I realize I'll never escape
No one can escape their self
The Dark One is my poisoned self
The part of me with power and control
The part of myself that traps me in the Evil Forest
