Another Chapter

by Internal Hatred   Sep 25, 2007

My body shakes,
As I try to ease the pain.
I drink to kill the void,
And I slice to make me be.
Both an addiction that I hold,
An addiction that makes me be.
I don't deserve to live yet death is too good for me.
Hate flows through my blood,
As I breathe in anger and death,
I hate who I am,
But can't begin to change.
I'm scared of my past,
Scared of the future,
And scared of who I've become,
I don't deserve to live yet death is too good for me.
I try to lie,
Both to others and to myself,
But the truth remains,
Remains in my heart and in my soul,
I don't deserve to live yet death is too good for me.

The emotions were really clear and strong, hope you're ok.

It's more based on emotional aspects rather than other things. I do think the beginning was stronger then the ending. Somewhere along the way it loses...something (sorry I'm not sure what).
"And I slice to make me be.
Both an addiction that I hold,
An addiction that makes me be."
I think the repetition doesn't work too well with this but as I've said this one's more on emotions.
"I don't deserve to live yet death is too good for me."
To me that line's repetition works and at the same time gives me the sense that it can be used for a song. Still the emotions are down just maybe work a little more with the words to make it stronger.
