Forbidden Blaze

by Georgi   Sep 25, 2007

I take this burning rose,
To breathe in Love's temptation.
Before the petals close
Upon my blazing adoration.

The heat of my existence
Was born beneath your kiss,
As your heart and soul's persistence
Met my head in full eclipse.

Your eyes inflamed suspicions
Of the passions in our mind,
While Love's sweet inhibitions
And our weakness was combined.

Heart-exploding laughter,
And long awaited peace,
Was given to us after
Both our souls had been released.

There's nothing more worth holding
Than your precious, darkened form;
A conclusion that's controlling
All emotions being born.

Your sweetened taste of hopefulness
Provides a constant beat
Through my brief but frequent breathlessness,
And helps me fight defeat.

But to love you indirectly
Is my only civil choice.
As their stubborn intervention
Drowns out my pleading voice.

Oh, wow, greatly written love poem, I love it! It is amazing from the beginning to the end, with excellent wording and fantastic flow. You did superb job with rhymes, they're not typical which is great.
    My favorite stanza is:

    -Your eyes inflamed suspicions
Of the passions in our mind,
    While Love's sweet inhibitions
    And our weakness was combined.-

You expressed emotions through brilliant descriptions into the whole piece.
Truly excellently done, 5/5 from me
