This poem is so sad and touching, but in the end it shows there was a lesson learned. No matter how bad a situation as long as you can salvage something from it- a lesson learned, a growth point, a different perspective, etc. then it is not a total loss. I always try to find the good even in the worst situations/traumas-though sometimes it is hard. The poem itself has an excellent flow and a perfect rhyme scheme and really conveys so much emotion and meaning. A great poem.
