Chasing the sun and moon

It gives us life
day and night
it gives us today
and it gives us tomorrow
simple relaxation
to forget our sorrow
our one has become two
and our two has become one
the moon has now eclipsed the sun
to walk together
hand in hand
side by side
woman and man
the world is full of sad, dark places
illuminated only by our loving faces
our smiles, so bright, when we find our lover
like the sun and the moon
we need each other
or we're worthless, dull, and alone
forever lost, in the great unknown
and that is why we must search
for something to make life worth
the chase
of a happier place
