I'm trying so hard
I can't keep going
I'm getting so tired
The pain is so annoying

I pump my arms
My breath is racing
My face is flushed
I forget what I'm facing

I trip and fall
I am desperate for air
I know I have failed
And I cry when I look up
I was almost there
