Late nights chasing monsters,
Scaring them all away;
He wants to have fun,
All he wants is to play.
"Rock the baby Mommy" he says,
"Just one more time"
How can I refuse that smile,
When that smile is mine?
Arms placed tightly around my neck,
Making him feel secure;
I gently place my lips to his forehead,
Never feeling a love this pure.
So surprised to feel this way,
For I never knew that a love like this exist;
But he shows me in so many ways,
What I had almost missed.
So many memories in such a short time,
Happy and sad but all filled with love;
I gaze into your bright little eyes,
And I know that GOD is smiling from above.
He gave you as a gift to me,
To help me realize who I could be;
And without you in my life,
There would never be a me.
When you came into my world,
I felt as if my life had just begun;
You see you brought laughter and joy,
And such wonderful fun.
When you place your tiny hands into mine,
Tears well up and my heart swells;
Trust in me you will always have,
On this I will never have to dwell.
You love me unconditionally,
No boundaries are ever set;
