Broken Angel

by Poes Raven   Sep 26, 2007

I see her walking thru the streets. A beauty clothed in darkness and bathed in moonlight. I walk in her direction drawn by her presence. She passes me and I brush her hand with mine. She stops and turns to me. Her raven black hair brushing across her shoulders. Our eyes meet and in an instant I am lost in her sorrow. Her soul cries out to me. She feels broken. worthless. Un-loved. My heart breaks as she turns away. How could I convince her other wise. I call to her to wait. She stops. Slowly turning she looks at me. I'm at a loss for words. Her beauty and sorrow wage war around me as I approach her. I am a stranger to her. How can I tell her shes loved when I don't even know her name? I'm standing in front of her now. her eyes press me for an explanation. I have none. I simply say the only thing that comes to mind; "Hi". A look of confusion sweeps her face but is quickly followed by a small fragile smile. It is in that moment that she becomes my world and I fall in love....
