Painfully Obvious

by ShaunaMarie   Sep 26, 2007

The rain on the windows
make it painfully obvious
that I'm lonely
in this room of chalkboards
and motivational posters.
It's painfully obvious
that I mean nothing to you.
However that also makes it known
that I still have feelings
for the person responsible for my sickness.
Was I the one pulling the plug
on our comatose relations?
Or was I the victim itself?
The rain has almost stopped
yet I still feel this loneliness.
Like a butterfly in a jar with no holes
SUFFOCATED.
And I ask myself
could you have been the one to save me?
Could you have unscrewed the lid to my jar?
Would you if you could have?
It's painfully obvious that you wouldn't have.
And you never will.
It's painfully obvious that
I can no longer wait for you.
You don't control me.

Omg. I loved this title. The piece was great. The emotion expressed was strong and although no real flow it was a beautiful peice.
    Great job!
