Emo kids don't dance
Its just not our thing
You'll be lucky to hear us talk
And don't even ask us to sing

Emo kids don't joke around
We try to be as serious as we can
Just imagine how you would act
When it's THIS HARD to get a tan

There are a whole lot of things that us Emo kids don't do
Like dance and sing and such
But there is one thing for certain we do the same
We can "love" Just as much

You people think, because we wear black,
That we don't have a heart
But if our appearances were based on love
NO ONE could tell us apart

I wonder if they would trade us places
For just a day or so
They always talk about how hard that would be
But they don't even know

I bet if they knew this next and last thing
They wouldn't mind being the outcasts of the bunch
Because another thing us Emo kids do
Is REALLY pack a punch.

So go ahead and dance around
Sing until your lungs burst
And when this is done we'll compare battle scars
We'll tell you whose is worse
