Thank you for killing me inside

by kIROS DELA VEGA   Sep 27, 2007

My heart's in pain!
It happens all to often;
You turn your back and slam the door.
Salty tears spill from my eyes,
As my heart aches for your love.
But you left me out here
In the cold...
With gently falling snowflakes.
My heart breaks in half
And bleeds slowly for you.
The pain I feel is to much
And I greet the fallen snow with my face.
You were my angel,
My saviour,
And my god.
You played with my emotions
And left me to die in the coldness of your shadow.
Thank you for being there...
Thank you for caring...
Thank you for loving...
Thank you for talking...
Thank you....
Thank you for killing me.

I think this is exquisitely penned! The imagery was strong, and held stinging emotion. A unique approach, a wonderful rhythm, -- overall a very powerful piece. A true pleasure to read.

    Keep it up!
    Take Care,
    Smiles,

Very effective, especially the ending. You expressed your emotions in a good way.
    My favorite lines are:
-You turn your back and slam the door.
Salty tears spill from my eyes,
As my heart aches for your love.
But you left me out here
    In the cold...
    With gently falling snowflakes.-

You have great wording in the whole piece and very powerful imagery.
    Keep up!
