Truth

by JustKristina   Sep 27, 2007

If the truth
Was a lie
And a lie
Was the truth
Would we walk
Around with
A lie in our hearts?
If I told you
A lie would you believe
It was the truth?
If all that was right
Was now wrong
And all that was wrong
Was now right
Would we still
Go and try to do
What we thought was right
Even though we knew
It was wrong?
And if I told you it
Was right, even though
I knew it was wrong
Would you believe
I was telling he truth
Because it was a lie?
If the truth
Was a lie
And a lie
Was the truth
Would you believe me
When I said I loved you?

Wow, really liked the idea of this poem. The whole concept of the lie-truth is amazing and the choosing of words fits although a little confusing. 5/5

O wow, that is a brain teaser, but it really was an excellent poem, i absolutely loved it! Those types of poems are really hard to write and to keep someone on task with it and not loose them. great job
