My pastor says praying is right
So I'm gonna give it a try tonight
There's a lot going on you see
Maybe you can take a second to listen to me
I'd like to pray for my mommy
Help her realize how much she hurts me
When I'm bad she hits my face
And says its part of love's embrace
And then there's my daddy
God, at night he comes in my room and touches me
He tells me it's our little secret
If I tell, he said I'll get it
God, please help my sister
One night I walked in the bathroom and saw her
Scared, I quickly closed the door
For I saw a knife in one hand and blood on the floor
My brother says she's been doing it for a while
It's her way of dealing with pain, it's just her style
Lord he tells me his way is getting high
Every time he and my parents get in a fight
Please God, help my family
Just listen to little old me
The girl talking to you from her closet to heaven
I don't know what to do I'm only seven
It seems my family is very sad
And I can't help; my mommy says I'm bad
God give them love and someone who cares
Please answer this one girl's prayer
