Why I keep going?

by Jess   Sep 28, 2007

How do you do it?
People always ask me
I just tell them
That you can not see

You can't see
His precious smile
The way he makes me feel
My life has been worth while

The way he looks at me
His pure eyes of blue
The one I can trust
And know he will be true

The way he holds
My hand and me
He doesn't care
He wants the world to see

The way he moves
My hair away from my face
Just me and him
There's not a better place

The way he rubs me
His sensitive touch
The way he makes me feel
That I'm worth so much

The way he talks
The simple way he speaks
The way he says he loves me
As my knees grows week

The way he makes me laugh
Just of the simple things
He always makes me smile
No matter what the world brings

His wonderful personality
That sets my soul on fire
He is the only one
That I desire

The way he is so brave
And shields me from harm
He is my baby
And my luck charm

The way we are always together
And never apart
Maybe through distance
But never through our hearts

The way he looks into my eyes
And knows that we are true
The way he looks at me
When he says "I love you!"

Our hearts as one
Our love just glowing
Are some of the reasons
Why I keep going!

Please vote and comment i really worked hard on this one.

Beautiful poem. Very well written and I love the imagery it gives. My favorite were the last 3 stanzas:

The way we are always together
    And never apart
    Maybe through distance
    But never through our hearts

The way he looks into my eyes
And knows that we are true
The way he looks at me
When he says "I love you!"

    Our hearts as one
    Our love just glowing
    Are some of the reasons
    Why I keep going!

Keep it up, I gave it a 5/5. Also I'd LOVE it if you'd read some of my poems and comment/VOTE them. thanks alot!
