They All Said

by HisAngel   Sep 28, 2007

Neither one of us is perfect,
but they say we're perfect together.
At first they didn't approve,
funny how fast their opinions changed.

Everyone said that I had made a mistake,
that we couldn't last.
But what they said didn't matter,
It's only about what we think and feel.

They don't get to see the same side of you that I do.
They see the annoying immature boy.
I can see that too, they don't need to tell me.
But I also see the sweet, caring, loving side.

I would have thought that they would understand,
No matter what they think,
I am going to love you anyway,
I really truly do.

I don't know when it happened,
I don't know why it happened,
I don't know how it happened,
But I kinda fell in love with you.

And I didn't just fall for the hidden side,
I love you for you,
And concept not many appear to understand.

They were so wrong about you,
Aren't you glad i didn't listen to what they all said?

First off, this piece is fabulous. I can relate to it. Also, a lot of times, when people choose not to have rhyming in their stanzas, the poem becomes jumbled. You didn't do that at all. Keep up the awesome work.:)
