Adam from Dust

by Gregory W Golden   Sep 29, 2007

I decided to
Make first man
From dust and clay
I breathe life into you
On this day
To end your loneliness
I shall pray
While you sleep
I removed one rib from thee
Woman made
For your companionship
To dwell in heaven
From dust to dawn
Adam from dust and clay
Satan deceived you
You ate thy fruit
From the tree of knowledge
When I summoned thee
You are full of shame
Expelled from heaven
Till the soil and work the earth
Thy woman shall forever give birth
Life and death are here the stay
Adam made from dust and clay.
