What friends shouldn't do, thats what I'd give for you

by Arun Khan   Sep 29, 2007

I would give my life away
If I can only touch your soul
If I can hear you say
you'd be mine until we grow old
I would sell my breath
Too look into them eyes
Just to remember that smile
Wash away your quiet cries
tell me you love me once in a while
I've lost all of my sense
I've broken my heart
Only for you
Just so we'll never part

I've smiled as another man
Has been with you
Watched you and him hand in hand
And heard you tell him 'our love's so true'
I'm standing outside until you let me in
You never admitted we ended
before it ever did begin
I'd lose my sight
If I could only hear your footsteps
In my room for one night
I'd burn away my voice
I'd gladly be one of the toys
If you'd play with my heart one last time
I promise I'll never write another rhyme
Never forever, I swear
If you'd say for a minute you're mine

Only for a second a whisper
I can't be sure
I've been poisoned
and you're my only cure
I really don't know what to say
There's a racing in my fears
and it's been there everyday
it's your reflection in my tears
I pray my silent prayers
But god never hears me
because every night
I wish you were mine but secretly
Gently and tenderly
I've become just a friend to you
But I'd give everything
Even more than lovers ever could do.

Bad - were you being ironic? This is without a doubt one of your best, seriously. It hurts, but it's so beautiful.. Sweet kiddo.

    5/5 (:
