My Best Friend

I took my chance today
I said everything I kept to myself for years
I know it was hard to say
I said what made me shed those dreadful tears

Each tear burned my check as it dripped of my face
I bet jumping in a fire felt better
But to be here is not my place
And now i have to hide my arm behind a sweater

I'm one of those kids who has a best friend
My best friend causes people to be afraid
We will be friends to the end
His name is blade

Blade is one of the type of pain that I love
I run to him when i need him the most
And yet like you he wouldn't give me a hateful shove
One day he to will be the reason why I'll be a ghost

I'll be able to see what you thought of me
And what you said when i wasn't there
And if you think my soul was meant to be let free
And if you ever thought i was fair

And I'm of to visit blade for a while
And i hope we'll play the game I love to play
If we do play the whole time I will smile
Because now you know what I'm off to do today
